Well Checks During COVID-19

We encourage our parents, especially those with younger children receiving shots more frequently (under the age of 4), to refrain from rescheduling or cancelling appointments. Rescheduling or cancelling well-check appointments may result in an insurance charge as well as your child being behind schedule on recommended vaccines.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), parents should keep in mind that the “benefit of attending a well visit and receiving necessary immunizations and screenings should be balanced with the risk of exposure.” Snellville Pediatrics has made great efforts to minimize any exposure by referring care for any patients presenting with COVID-19-like symptoms to the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) and providing care for well patients in a separate office suite.

In response to the recent concerns regarding COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus), Snellville Pediatrics has made efforts to keep you, your child, and your families healthy while also continuing to provide care for both sick and well patients. We have modified our office procedures to minimize risk and exposure by separating appointments between our two suites.
